CASE STUDY

Operations

Inventory & Asset Management

A web-based system for managing inventory and assets, item requests, approvals, documents, barcode workflows, and notifications in one more structured operational flow.

TECHNOLOGY

Laravel / PostgreSQL / Docker

THE CHALLENGE

Scattered inventory records and manual processes made item status, requests, approvals, and change history harder to track consistently.

WHAT I BUILT

  1. 01

    Inventory & asset records

Inventory and asset records are managed through a more consistent structure.

  2. 02

    Role-based access

Access is separated according to each user's responsibility in the workflow.

  3. 03

    Request & approval workflow

  4. 04

    Attachments & barcode

  5. 05

    System notifications

APPROACH

I built a web-based inventory and asset module with role-based access, request and approval workflows, attachments, barcode support, and notifications. The system was structured so the workflow could be introduced progressively without forcing a complete operational change at once.

CONCEPT PREVIEW

Screen 01 Inventory overviewInventory and asset records organized in one workspace.
Screen 02 Request & approvalRequest stages are presented alongside their review status.
Screen 03 Asset & barcode detailAsset information, documents, and barcode identification in one view.

OUTCOME

The system provides one place to manage inventory and asset records while making request, approval, and process history easier to follow.
