CASE STUDY
Health Software 2026
Maternal & Child Health Records Portal
A multi-role web platform for managing maternal and child health records, covering guardians and children, visits, growth monitoring, immunizations, follow-up schedules, KIA documents, operational monitoring, and reporting.
TECHNOLOGY
Laravel 12 / PHP 8.2 / MySQL / Bootstrap 5 / Vite / ApexCharts / Dompdf / Fonnte API
THE CHALLENGE
Child health records span multiple related areas, including child and guardian identities, visit history, growth measurements, immunizations, follow-up schedules, and supporting documents. These records need to remain traceable as one longitudinal history while access is controlled according to each user's role.
WHAT I BUILT
-
01
Role-based access for administrators, staff, management, and guardians.
-
02
Integrated child histories covering visits, growth, immunizations, schedules, and documents
-
03
Private KIA document storage with authorized preview, download, and verification workflows.
-
04
Operational monitoring, period-based reporting, audit logs, print history, and PDF documents.
-
05
Guardian portal with restricted access to child histories, follow-up schedules, and verified documents.
APPROACH
I built a Laravel application with role-based access for administrators, staff, management, and guardians. The system connects each child's record with visits, growth measurements, immunizations, schedules, and KIA documents, while providing private document storage and verification, operational monitoring, audit logs, reporting and PDF output, and a guardian portal for accessing verified child records.

OUTCOME
The current implementation connects each child's service history into a unified record. Staff can record and review care activities, management can use monitoring and reporting views, while guardians receive restricted access to their children's information and verified documents without exposing internal operational functions.
