Academic Administration
SIMYUT: Examination and Graduation Administration
A web application for final examination and graduation registration. Students submit their details and documents, departments review applications, and faculty staff make final decisions and manage participant lists.
TECHNOLOGIES USED
Laravel 11 / PHP 8.2 / MySQL / MariaDB / Blade / Bootstrap 5 / Vite / TCPDF
PROBLEM
Registration involves three roles with different needs: students need to see their document status, departments review data and files, and faculty staff handle final decisions. The stages need to stay connected so applications awaiting action are easy to find.
MAIN FEATURES
-
01
Student submissions
Final examination and graduation registrations have separate pages, with document uploads and application statuses.
-
02
Staged verification
Department staff review application data and files before faculty staff make the final decision.
-
03
Graduation announcements and batches
Faculty staff can prepare graduation announcements, manage batches, and set registration deadlines.
-
04
Participant lists and PDF export
Approved participants can be filtered by graduation announcement or batch and exported as PDF.
IMPLEMENTATION
I built separate flows for final examinations and graduation. Students can register, upload required files, and follow their application status. Department staff review the details and each document before the application reaches the faculty. Faculty staff then finalize applications, manage graduation announcements and batches, and view or export approved participant lists as PDF.

RESULT
Application status remains visible from student registration through department review and faculty finalization. Documents are reviewed individually; approved participants can then be viewed by graduation batch and exported as a PDF list.
