Preview of QR-Based Event Guestbook and Attendance

PROBLEM

When an event involves organizers, staff, and many guests, invitations and attendance records need to stay connected. Staff also need to know who has arrived without reconciling separate records by hand.

MAIN FEATURES

  1. 01

    Role-based access

Administrators, organizers, staff, and guests have separate areas and responsibilities.

  2. 02

    Events and guest lists

Each guest belongs to an event; lists can be managed through forms or Excel import.

  3. 03

    QR-based check-in

Event QR codes can be created and downloaded as PDFs. Guests can scan them in the browser.

  4. 04

    Attendance records

Valid scans update attendance and record the time and scan result.

  5. 05

    Camera-free fallback

Guests can enter a QR code manually when the device camera is unavailable.

IMPLEMENTATION

This Laravel application has separate access for administrators, organizers, staff, and guests. Administrators manage events, assignments, guest lists, and QR codes. Guests can be added individually or imported from Excel. Guests sign in with a PIN, then scan an event QR code using a camera or enter the code manually. A valid scan is logged and updates attendance. Staff manage their assigned events, while organizers can review summaries of their own events.

RESULT

Event lists, guests, QR codes, attendance, and scan logs can be reviewed in role-specific areas. Guests can also see their own scan history.
